Indicative range, not a quote

CONAI charges per tonne of each material, plus a one-off joining fee. There has been a simpler process, and a minimum, for very low-value imports.

Indicative only. CONAI publishes its CAC tariffs annually by material. Check the current tariff and whether the simplified import procedure applies to you.

Things to watch out for

  • The CAC charge falls on whoever first brings the packaging into Italy. If you post orders there yourself, that is you.
  • Italy has its own packaging labelling rules already, separate from the new EU labels coming in 2028.
