LUCID registration itself is free. The cost is the PRO licence fee, which at very small volumes is commonly quoted in the low tens of euros per year, plus any authorised representative fee.

Things to watch out for
- No minimum. You have to register even if you only send one parcel.
- Two separate steps: register in LUCID, then pay a scheme separately. Doing only one is a common and costly mistake.
- Register before you start selling. Marketplaces have to check your LUCID number.
